About OurMedia
The EPMU is New Zealand’s largest private sector union and represents fifty thousand working New Zealanders including 2000 journalists and media workers.
The EPMU’s OurMedia campaign was launched in April of 2007 in response to APN’s decision to outsource it subediting operations and TVNZ’s decision to restructure and reduce its news gathering presence in many of New Zealand’s provinces.
Since then the campaign has grown to include a Journalism Matters summit in August which was attended by more than one hundred journalists, media academics, journalism students and industry management representatives.
One of the initiatives that came out of that summit was the EPMU Journalism Review.
The review and an online submission form are available on this site.
